Use AI Analysis

When a website job fails or comes back with thin results, you don't have to guess why. AI analysis reviews the run and explains what happened in plain language — for example, that a page needs a login, that content loads only via JavaScript, or that your scope excluded the pages you wanted — along with suggested fixes.

Before You Start

  • Open a website data capture job.
  • Make sure your subscription allows analysis.

Steps

  1. Open the job's details page from Data capture.
  2. Choose Analyze with AI. Seekdown sends the run's results and discovered links to an AI model for review.
  3. Wait for the analysis to complete — it typically takes a few seconds.
  4. Read the findings. The analysis explains in plain language what went well and what didn't. Common findings include pages that require authentication, content that loads only via JavaScript (and therefore can't be captured by a standard data capture job), overly restrictive path rules that excluded the pages you wanted, or hostnames that weren't in the allowed list.
  5. Apply the suggestions that make sense — for example, widening the scope, adding a missing hostname, or removing a path exclusion that was too aggressive.

Verify the Result

Re-run the job after applying the suggested changes, then compare the refreshed contents and discovered links against the previous run to confirm the fix worked.

Troubleshooting

  • If the Analyze with AI option isn't shown, confirm the job is a website data capture job — analysis is only available for website jobs.
  • If the analysis flags a login or JavaScript-heavy site, the content behind those barriers may need a different approach, such as uploading files or adding content manually.
