Create an Assistant
This is the moment your knowledge becomes something people can talk to. An assistant always answers from the dataset you connect it to — so once your dataset has good content, creating the assistant on top of it takes a minute.
Before You Start
- Have a memory dataset ready, with some real content in it.
- Pick a name you'll recognize.
Steps
- Open AI Assistants.
- Choose Create new assistant.
- Enter the Assistant name.
- Choose its memory dataset.
- Optionally answer "How should the assistant behave?" with a few instructions.
- Choose Create assistant.
Verify the Result
The playground opens with your assistant, showing the dataset it's connected to. Ask it something you know the answer to.
Troubleshooting
- If Create is greyed out, a required field is still empty.
- On a trial you get one assistant — upgrade to add more.
